Bath-based cyber security specialist CND (Computer Network Defence) is to host a learning lunch to help local businesses better understand cyber risk and how a cyber attack could affect your company.
Led by a panel of industry experts, the learning lunch will include a series of talks looking at the cyber threat facing businesses today and how it can be mitigated.
Andy Cuff, CEO of CND said, “Way back in the last millennium before “Cyber” became a term synonymous with computers and technology, our team were delivering Information Security and protecting the UK military’s networks. Cyber Security is our passion, and, within our team, we have centuries of experience to call upon. We want to help local businesses have a better understanding of potential cyber threats and what they can do to help prevent them from happening.”
The cyber security learning lunch takes place on Monday 9th September at Apex City of Bath Hotel from 12:30pm.
The lunch is £10 to attend but all proceeds will be donated to UK military charity, Help For Heroes.
CND offers a full range of cyber security services from Cyber Essentials accreditation, to cyber threat intelligence, cyber risk reviews and penetration testing.

CND were delighted to receive an invitation to dine at Bar+Block, a steakhouse in Bath's city centre. As part of the restaurant's promotion of their express lunch menu - served in 10 minutes for under £10 - the CND team were invited to an extensive, one hour lunch.
We were treated to a steak and wine sampling and were taught about how to prepare and enjoy the various types of steaks at home. After the sampling of the steaks, we had a sit-down lunch, including vegetarian and vegan options. Our team had a wonderful time and the food was delicious.
The CND consultancy team were excited to exhibit at the South West Expo at the Steam Museum in Swindon. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
As with many of the Expos CND attends, it's always a pleasure to get to know local businesses and to use this opportunity to inform industries of all types how cyber security is relevant to their area of business, and what CND can offer to improve or establish their systems.
As a Cyber Security company with a predominantly female staff across all sectors of the business, CND are proud to support the International Women's Day on 8th March 2019. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year’s focus is equality, #BalanceforBetter.
International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Prior to this the Socialist Party of America, United Kingdom's Suffragists and Suffragettes, and further groups campaigned for women's equality.
The CND Recruitment Team exhibited at the Cyber Security Expo in Bristol. This has been a regular event in the CND Recruitment calendar for many years. As it has been before, it was a great opportunity to meet with local cyber security talent and other individuals interested in this fascinating industry. As well as talking to prospective candidates for our range of contract and permanent roles, we were able to meet with many of our consultancy clients to discuss our recent ventures and growth plans for the future.
CND was proud to support Corsham Institute, an educational charity, with their Children and Young People Programme. We ran a cyber security workshop as part of their Safer Internet Festival.
We take our Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously at CND and it's exciting to work with organisations that improve the welfare of children and value education.
CND are delighted to become members of Cyber Exchange, a site developed by the Cyber Growth Partnership (CGP). The CGP provide oversight and give strategic guidance to the government on supporting the development of the UK cyber security ecosystem with the aim of growing a vibrant cyber security sector.
