1.       Computer Network Defence Ltd (CND) is committed to demonstrating consideration for the environment. Supporting ethical working practices and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to CND’s professional activities and the management of the organisation. CND aim to follow and promote good sustainability practices, reduce the environmental impacts of all their activities, and assist their clients and partners to do the same.

2.       CND Ltd recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. They are committed to reducing their environmental impact and continually improving their environmental performance as an integral part of their business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points.

3.       CND acknowledges that the benefits of an Environmental Management Policy are unlikely to be achieved by a policy alone, so their document sets out not only CND’s key aims and principles but also the practical ways in which they will achieve their aims and monitor their success.

4.       CND are committed to continual improvement of their working environment and business processes. Their aim is to play a proactive role in contributing to achieving sustainability and positive environmental practices where they have influence.

5.       CND is committed to accountability and transparency in their sustainability performance.

Social Values

1.       At Computer Network Defence Ltd, they believe it is their shared, societal responsibility to support and enable their community. They are committed to ensuring that they work ethically, considering human rights as well as the social, economic, and environmental impacts of what they do as a business.

2.       CND is an inclusive company committed to fairness, equality of opportunity, and diversity in all their employment practices, policies, and procedures.

Controversial Industries Policy

1.       Purpose

1.1.   As part of our commitment to ethical business practices and alignment with the values of the B Corporation movement, Computer Network Defence Ltd has established this policy to clarify our position regarding controversial industries. This policy ensures transparency in our operations and reinforces our dedication to responsible and socially conscious business conduct. 

2.       Scope

2.1.   This policy applies to all business activities, partnerships, client engagements, and procurement decisions undertaken by Computer Network Defence Ltd.

3.       Policy Statement

3.1.   Computer Network Defence Ltd is a provider of cybersecurity services and solutions. We do not manufacture, distribute, or directly contribute to the core outputs of any controversial industry.

3.2.   Our role within any controversial industries is to be strictly limited to enhancing the digital security and resilience of our clients' systems, data, and infrastructure.

3.3.   We do not engage in or support activities that:

3.3.1.       Facilitate the production or distribution of weapons, firearms, or military hardware

3.3.2.       Contribute to the fossil fuel extraction or coal mining industries

3.3.3.       Support the tobaccogambling, or adult entertainment sectors

3.3.4.       Enable human rights abusesenvironmental degradation, or exploitative labour practices.

4.       Due Diligence

4.1.   We conduct due diligence on prospective clients and partners to ensure alignment with our ethical standards. If a client operates within a controversial industry, we assess whether our cybersecurity services:

4.1.1.       Are used solely for defensive, protective, or compliance purposes

4.1.2.       Do not directly contribute to the production, promotion, or expansion of the controversial activity

4.1.3.       Where there is a risk of misalignment, we reserve the right to decline or discontinue engagement.

5.       Transparency and Accountability

5.1.   We are committed to transparency in our client relationships and welcome dialogue with stakeholders regarding our ethical standards. This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect evolving best practices and B Corp requirements.
