A contract opportunity is available for a Storage Architect to work with a Global Managed Security Services Consultancy in Derby. A current SC Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

- Storage Architect for a major Enterprise Application Migration Project
- Responsible for overall Planning, Architecture, Design, Build, Implementation and Operation Phases of the Storage piece
- Understand and mould business strategies & requirements into innovative logical architectures and engineering solutions
- Ensure the successful live running of the customer's storage infrastructure in a predominantly EMC and Cisco SAN estate
- Support NetApp Migrations and implementations

Skills/background required:

- An extensive Storage Architecture background, including high & low level designs
- Exposure to Planning, Architecture, Design, Build, Implementation and Operation Phases of Storage Infrastructure Migrations
- Knowledge of Storage applications and processes including backup/restore, archive, HSM, replication, clustering, cloning
- Background with HP Toolsets, Brocade and StorageTek
- Expertise in EMC Storage, including VMAX & DMX
- Highly skilled in Cisco Storage Area Network (SAN) & Brocade (SANHealth, SAN Performance Management)
- Knowledge of Enterprise Backup Solutions & NetApp Migrations
